What Utah families should know

Award amounts depend on whether a student attends private school or learns at home, and home-based awards vary by age.

$4,000 or $6,000 for home-based students

Odyssey lists $4,000 for ages 5–11 and $6,000 for ages 12–18, based on the student’s age on September 1.

$8,000 for private-school students

Private-school students may receive $8,000. Midyear awards can be prorated based on when a student joins the program.

Annual application and learning evidence

Students reapply each year, and renewal depends on submitting required assessment results or a student portfolio on time.

What is the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program?
Utah Fits All gives eligible Utah students education savings account funds for approved educational expenses. Odyssey administers the program and its marketplace for families, schools, and providers.
Who is eligible for Utah Fits All?
Students generally must be Utah residents age 5–18 as of September 1 of the scholarship year. Participating students cannot simultaneously receive the Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship or be enrolled in an LEA or the Statewide Online Education Program when receiving the award. Families should confirm the full current rules with Odyssey.
How much is the Utah Fits All award for 2026–27?
Odyssey lists $8,000 for private-school students, $4,000 for home-based students ages 5–11 as of September 1, and $6,000 for home-based students ages 12–18. Midyear awards may be prorated.
Can Utah Fits All funds pay for reading curriculum?
Yes. Approved curriculum and educational materials may qualify when purchased in accordance with Utah Fits All rules. Marketplace offerings from approved providers are reviewed through the program.
Is Once approved in the Utah Fits All Marketplace?
Yes. Once is approved in the Utah Fits All Marketplace, so participating families can use available scholarship funds toward Once at Home through Odyssey.
How are Utah Fits All scholarships prioritized?
If applications exceed available scholarships, Utah gives preference to returning students, certain siblings, and families at or below 300% of the federal poverty level before other eligible applicants. Odyssey may use a lottery within the remaining groups.
How much does Once at Home cost?
Once at Home costs $49 per month and can be covered by available Utah Fits All funds. Final purchase approval is administered through the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program and Odyssey.
