How MOScholars works

Getting a scholarship through an EAO

MOScholars scholarships are awarded through nonprofit Educational Assistance Organizations (EAOs) approved by the Missouri State Treasurer’s Office. Once is coming soon to the Missouri ESA marketplace.

Review the Treasurer’s 2026–27 Parent Handbook and the list of certified EAOs.

1

Contact an EAO

Ask your chosen school which EAO it partners with. Family Paced Education families should ask an EAO about its FPE requirements.
2

Prequalify and apply

Complete the EAO’s prequalification form, then the full MOScholars application if you qualify.
3

Spend through Odyssey

Awarded families direct funds to approved vendors in the Odyssey Marketplace. Once will appear there when it becomes available.

What Missouri families should know

Awards tied to the State Adequacy Target

Up to 100% of the target for most students, up to 125% with free or reduced lunch eligibility, and up to 175% with an IEP.

Curriculum is an allowable use

Allowable uses include curriculum, tutoring, and educational therapies. Consumable supplies such as paper and pencils are not.

What is MOScholars?
