Questions about reading together

Do I need to know how to teach reading?
No. Read the grown-up directions first, then follow the prompts in the book. They tell you when to model a sound, read together, and let your child try.
Are Read Together books the same as decodable books?
No. In a Read Together book, the grown-up reads the fuller story while the child practices selected sounds and words. Decodable books let children practice reading text using sounds and spelling patterns they have already learned.
What can we do after finishing the book?
