Earlier this month, we had our second in-person company off-site in Charlotte, NC, and it was a fantastic experience! Our time together was a wonderful blend of fun and productivity.
Once is a remote company with teammates stretching from coast to coast. Plenty of data outlines the advantages of remote work, but we believe there is no substitute for regular, in-person gatherings. Spending time together in person is crucial for building relationships and trust among team members.
This year, we have the great privilege of working with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and one of the highlights of the trip was our meeting with district leaders to discuss our shared goals for students.
In addition to our business activities, we also took the time to build relationships and trust with one another. We enjoyed plenty of time outside on a minigolf course, at restaurants and breweries, and having friendly competitions in the pool!
During our time together over four days, we reinforced our core values during the off-site. These values are at the heart of everything we do, and it was great to see them in action during our time in Charlotte:

Overall, our second company off-site was a huge success. We accomplished a lot, had fun, and strengthened our team. We’re already looking forward to our next off-site!
