The teacher asked Tim, "What is six plus three?"
But he did not know the answer.
He went home and asked for help.
Dad tried to help, but Tim did not understand.
Mom tried to help, but Tim just got even more mixed up.
Tiff brought him a pie.
She said, "Tim, this pie has six parts. What if we add three more?"
"Nine!" he said.
The next day in class, the teacher asked, "What is six plus three?"
When he got home, he and Tiff shared the pie.
